I'm having an issue in my tank.
My Kole tang is harassing my starry blenny nonstop and chasing him off all the time.

My Kole tank or Niger trigger has killed my sailfin. I am removing the Niger because he's not really working in the tank.

I would like to get another small tang to put in my tank. My sailfin was extremely small and I got him because I have a 65 gallon.

Thanks for any input.

I am by far an expert, but my guess is you will have most against having Sailfin in that size tank. I am a fan of both the Kole Tang and the Blenny so this is tough.

Yea, I know what most people will say but this sailfin was 2.5" maybe and he would have been ok for a few years I think.

I love the Kole and the starry blenny I'm just hoping they will find their own areas

I had the same issue with my Kole and starry. Every time the kole saw the starry he chased him off. I believe that it's because they compete for food, but I could be wrong. Good luck, I hope that it works itself out for you.

Tangs are territorial toward other algae eaters. The starry blenny is viewed as competition for food and other resources. In a larger tank there may be room for both of them to coexist, but in your 65 it is just not happening.
