Minimum tank size for kole tang? I've heard 29gal but idk about that. There's a 1.5" Kole at my LFS and I'm wondering what tank size if it's the only fish alone in the tank.

A kole tang needs a 75 gallon or so tank. Many do best in tanks around 90-115.

Dude! Seriously. Co-stanza!I have a 75g with a Kole that’s about 2 1/2” and he/she is doing great, but I won’t go any smaller.
Because you need a co-stanza size wallet for this hobbyDude! Seriously. Co-stanza!

I have a Kole Tang in my 55 reef, seems to be doing great. Gets along with everyone, an d is a good addition. But i don't think I'd go any smaller then that.Minimum tank size for kole tang? It doesn't matter if a tang is all by itself in 29g of water. They need space to swim. It has been unanimous in this thread that 29g is not enough. If that is negative to you, sorry. It's good to ask questions. Not so good to ignore the responses. Please see my most recent post - it basically sums up my thoughts on the matter, if you want to critique anything I said please do! (be polite, beginner)

And the vast majority of the responses are saying 70-75g for space.'... not so good to ignore the responses.

No matter how little rock is in the tank, a 40b will still not provide you with 48" of swimming space, which is the minimum for a kole tang. Nobody is being rude. You asked for insights, people gave you answers, and you are seemingly ignoring the advice you asked for.And the vast majority of tanks have full reefs and more than one fish... I don't understand how/why you guys had to be rude, as I said before, I'm just wondering...
