Which size would you reccomend?
Koralia #3 or #4 for a 90gal

i would use the 4, but is this all the flow u will have? if so i would use more koralias. i have a 3 and 4 in my 50g breeder plus a return.

this will just be for extra flow/more circulation was going to get two one for each end?

I have always heard that you should use one larger than what it says on the box...which i completely agree with. I have a 3 on my 75, along with other means, but I still wish that I would have gone with the 4.

two koralias 4's would be considered low flow
one vortech 40 would be good for med flow
two tunzes 6000, 6100, or even 6085's for higher flow
used tunze 6000, 6100 are cheap these days (200$ or less ea.) and the controllers are even cheaper (check the for sale page on this site and rc)
and the 6085's (175$ new) are not controlable but are reasonably priced if don't want a controller

I have a 60" 100 gallon and have two K4's, one is modified to prouce more flow, a closed loop with a Ocean Runner 3500, 1000 gPH pump and Oceans Motions Squirt two way switching device and a OR 3500 return pump and current could still be better. Thats with 330 lbs of Southdown sugar sand and it stays put without blowing around.

I have an oceanic 110 with three k3's and a mag 12 return pump. IMO its almost too much flow. The water column is constanly changing. And I dont think they are unsightly at all once they are covered with coraline. The vortech are just too much money
It also depends on what you have in the tank. I have a 75 gal and use (2) #3's. I had a 3 and a 4 but took the 4 out because It was too much for some of the softies and clams I have. I could never find a spot with moderate to low flow in my tank with the #4. If you have sps only the definitely go #4's.
I have a 90 gallon. And I have a 2 and a nano Koralia, and I know that sounds like it's not much, but I'm keeping lots of SPS and they do great and the flow is great. I've got a 12 mag drive hooked up in the sump so that gives me about 1200gph.
I've seen the vortechs, and they might look a little tidier, but you can't adjust the angle at which they flow, which I personally don't like and I think the Koralia's work great. You just need to make sure you clean them, as you would with any powerhead.
