koralia evo 600 shaft "swollen"

has anyone had an issue with the plastic "bushing" on the shaft on the evo 600? the part that fits inside the pump on mine seems to have swollen and cracked. i had a tough time pulling it out of the pump. send an email to hydor to see what they can do about it. i know when i lost the rubber piece on the cover they sent me two brand new covers free of charge...

Would it be possible for it to have overheated. Swellng and cracking sounds almost like a heat issue

i think thats what happened. something caused friction causing hear leading to swelling and cracking. i hope it doesn;t cost too much if anything for a new shaft.

Ive had this happen twice. The rubber strips separate and then expand, or swell up. They sent me replacement parts free of charge.

replacement parts are on their way, free of charge. they may not be premium pumps, but im happy with the customer service so far.
