Korallin biodenitrator S1502 - black rubble

Hi Folks,

My S1502 has been running for about 6 weeks at roughly 2 drops per second and I've noticed the coral rubble is starting to turn black and the water coming out of the unit smells like sulfer. Wondering if this is normal and indicates it's properly seasoned? Should I increase the flow rate so it's constant vs. just drips?

Yes you need to increase the drips, when you get the sulfur smell.
