So I've had this reactor running since July. It seem every other day I'm having to adjust the effluent line because it slows down so much. I've done the John Guest Needle Valve upgrade on the effluent line but still have the problem. Called Marine depot and they told me to open the vent line a little and let some pressure off the reactor and that should help. It has not helped, not sure how much to open it, still having to adjust. I'm running the ph inside my reactor at 6.9 and thought this would keep it from clogging up, not really sure clogging is the issue. Not sure how to get this adjusted and was wondering if anyone else had this issue and how to fix it?

Here is that picture of the mod that I had taken. You can see the 90 degree fitting that I found at HD or Lowe's and I drilled and tapped it very carefully for a john guest fitting I think it is 1/8" pipe threads and insert that into the tubing on the suction of the pump. I then run a piece of john guest tubing from the vent to it and I also have a john guest ball valve that I can bleed it up there to get it primed. Hope that helps that part out! Your effluent out is getting clogged because you have a needle valve on it. I ran the needle valve on the CA reactor feed line so I could control the flow into reactor and then I used one of the small plastic ball valves on the outlet to lower the drip rate to exactly how I needed it. The small ball valves that was provided with reactor do not clog up so easily and I was able with these mods to not touch this reactor for a long time and just let it do its thing.

I have a Korallin also.

Just run a micro valve on the effluent. At the end of the line. Mine has been running since April and no clog. My drip is a steady stream of pearls.

Nothing but problems with needle valves.

The black micro valve are only a couple bucks at Home Depot in the irrigation area. Have it at the end of the effluent line.
My effluent puts out 60ml per minute.

I also run my vent at a few drops per minute.
