Anyone here running a Korallin 1502 calcium reactor? I have a new jar of ARM already but in the past I used ReBorn media in my Schuran Jetstream-1 and liked it a lot. Are there any cons to just running with the media I have already? Also, does anyone mix magnesium in with this reactor as well?

Going to be running it with an electronic CarbonDoser regulator and a controller once I find one. Just planning ahead...

Thanks!

I believe if you look at the instructions it will say to use a fine media as it is a slow up flow unit. You want the ARM original media not coarse

I have tried the coarse and reborn and it works OK but it will use more CO2 and solenoid will switch on and off much more. I recommend to the Original ( fine ) media. The Coarse stuff and Reborn are made for high flow units. Another point why to use the fine is CO2 will rise slower and your output into tank will have a higher PH, so more of hte CO2 that is going in will be used up instead of going into the system and causing PH drop and higher CO2 levels.
