Recently purchased a juvenile koran angel and I was worried it would go for my coral beauty or vice versa.
Turns out that my koran is being mercilessly hounded by my female percula clown
I have removed said clown from main display and into sump. She has been there for 3 days now.
Korans fins are all tattered but it not hiding anymore and my male percula is not giving him any unwanted attention since the female has been removed.
How long should I keep her separated or is it a case of trial and error.
She is starting to change to a darker orange colour and the last time she did that she spawned. Could this be the underlying reason for her aggression. She is very aggressive towards my hand whenever it goes in the tank . To the point of drawing blood. But never towards other tank members.

Other inhabitants are
Yellow tang .
Regal tang.
coral beauty.
Juv koran .
Goby
Dot dash blenny.

350litre tank.

Given that you have a spawning pair of clowns and a small tank (( for a koran angel it is small )), I don't see things getting any better. It might calm down a bit b/t spawnings, but have a feeling it will go back to trouble when there are eggs to guard.

In my experience, spawning clown fish are extremely aggressive towards anything that come near their egg. I don't think it is going to get better. Unfortunately I had to trade mine with my LFS for a smaller pair.

Thought that might be the outcome. I was willing to give them another go in a few days but not wanting to put the koran under any undue stress.
Not going to lose it over a pair of clowns that could be traded in for a more peaceful pair.
