Good morning, all! Quick question… has anyone had experience using Kordon’s Ich Attack in the past? The instructions say no water changes, but my tank NEEDS a water change. Treatment could take a month or more, but there is absolutely no way my tank (or anyone with a sumpless system for that matter) can go that long without a water change. My water is cloudy, my corals/nems are ticked off and not opening fully (Im sure the meds are partially to blame), and my ammonia/nitrates are getting out of control. I don’t want everything to die, and I’ve been dosing for over a week already. (Note: before the unnecessary digs start, I KNOW copper in a QT is 100% the best way to go; however, this is not an option for me at this time) So… What would you/did you do? Would you do a water change if the tank needed, or continue per the instructions.

I doubt you will find anyone that will support this product as a remedy for an active crypto infestation.

I understand your delimma with establishing a QT. If you believe the product will work, your only choice is to add it proportionally to the amount of water you change.

If you are certain your are fighting active crypto and you cannot remove the fish from the DT, I'm afraid you are facing major disappointment. You are going to have to choose between the fish and the coral to decide which to save. Copper will likely kill all of your coral. Crypto will likely kill many of your fish if not all.

edit: you may want to consider hyposalinity, but you should research to determine its potential impact on your corals.
