I hated the Clearview lid for my IM25 Lagoon because it bowed so much. Kraken Reef's lies perfectly flat and is a superior design in comparison.

Interesting observation - the Clearview is more expensive but it bows....how thick is the plastic of the Clearview vs Kraken?

Not sure exact thickness. Kraken is thinner and seems like a more rigid material though.

Both Kraken and ClearView use polycarbonate according to their websites.

Really clear view is almost half the price vs kraken for my tank

As of 1 January, we upgraded to a thicker 3/8" polycarbonate. Previous to that we utilized 1/4" polycarbonate.

Cool! Do you still offer the thinner size for nano tanks? 3/8" is plenty stiff for my WB10 and the lower profile the better.

We only offer 3/8" for the lids at this time.

I liked the original Clearview classic. I also tried the newer Clearview Pisces Exo which I did not care for. It is a modular design which is nice, but salt creep got into every connection and made it hard to keep clean. I didn't have any issues with any of them bowing like others are saying. I like the look of the Kraken lids so I figured I would give them a shot for my new build.
