Kz coral snow

Is it possible that kz coral snow can cause a spike in mag? It’s the only thing I’ve recently changed.

First time using is. Mixing it with microbacter7 to help control algae and also read it helps promote feeding response in corals.

What’s everyone’s experience with kz coral snow? And is it possible to use it in a nano tank with no skimmer, but filter floss.

It shouldn’t effect mag or any other element as it’s just calcium carbonate “chalk” for the most part lol.. I’ve never used the actual kz snow as I make my own because I’m cheap like that haha!

It won't cause a spike in Mag, or anything else. CaCo3 is inert. I used it before making my own.

I didn’t think it should. But it was the strangest thing. Will go back to using it and search out elsewhere for my sudden mag jump.

Buy some calcium carbonate off Amazon and mix it with ro water. 6tsp to 450ml of ro water.

Don't sweat the Mg increase, mine hovers around 1500-ish.

How long have you been making your own coral snow? What’s your recipe and how often do you use?

Over a year now. I use a 99% pure food grade CaCo3 powder at a ratio of 1 level cup to a gallon of RODI. Then I add 2 tsps each of TM Zooton and TM Phyton. I dose 40ml daily after lights out.
