I currently dose KZ (1, 2, 3, 4, Pohls Vitalizer, Xtra, Coral Booster, Cyano Clean, Flatworm Stop, and Coral Snow).

KZ is really expensive.

What do you all dose and what do you recommend?

I have a 180 and I started dosing just 1-4 and have noticed an increase in color over the month I have been dosing. I use AFR for my alk and calc. I keep it simple and haven’t bought into dosing a bunch of things. I dose 10ml of KZ weekly and that’s it. Once I get through these bottles I will see how the corals look and decide wether to keep dosing or not. Otherwise it’s fish poop, AFR and no water changes for me.

Not that I'm a successful Reefer, but I've been aiming for Ultra-Low Maintenance (ULM). With regard to dosing, I've reduced it down to:
  1. Kalkwasser for balanced Alk/Ca and a nice pH boost
  2. AFR for balanced everything for tank demand beyond what Kalkwasser can provide
  3. DIY NoPox for carbon dosing to feed beneficial bacteria for my coral and keep nutrients in check.
If I wasn't dealing in my pH through Kalkwasser help, and getting more use out of AFR, I'd probably reduce this to just AFR.

Things I've used in the past:
  • Reef Energy AB+
  • Triton Method everything
  • Classic Balling method (3 part)
  • Various trace element regimes
Best of luck...

I’ve used that stuff and didn’t make a difference. Heavy feeding and heavy export work. Keeping the water clean through mechanical filtration (skimmer and filter pad) and also feeding heavy have always gave me best results.
