just changed one of my tanks over to good quality LED lighting a couple of weeks ago and i must say , its really good colours of the fish and also my soft corals , xenia ect have really perked up.
The only problem I have now is that, although my tang is always grazing on it, i have a few small patches of green algae that are now making oxygen bubbles because of the brighter light, so it looks like i have a few diamond covered patches on my rocks.
It never bothered me before because the tang spent its day feeding on it, but now it looks a bit odd sparkling and releasing fine bubbles in the current.
anybody else had this problem, ( if it is one,I know its a good natural process )

New lights, more intensity. Look at you nitrates, and phosphates if the No3 and Po4's are in order, your system is making the adjustment to the new light and you are going through a algae bloom. this will pass with time. I had the same thing happen with the bubble algae, green hair algae and red slim/cayno when I ungraded to my lights. Also I was running high nitrates. I brought down the nitrate and left the lights alone. Can you adjust you spectrum? If so make sure you reds are running at 10% or lower, I have read that the red spectrum contributes to algae growth.

only have blue and white, no red but thanks for the advice. each colour has its own controller so i may get two time clocks and have just the blue on more than the white
