I personally haven’t done it but now that you have given me the idea (thank you) I’ll probably use tape and write on it in sharpe or somthing

I just folded a white duct tape tab and labeled with sharpie. Not fancy but it works!

That's what I used, I just typed each thing twice so could put the label around the wire like a flag

I use both the labels from Marine depot and clip ties for bread. Simply write name of accessory and place tab on plug wire.

I've used tape and also tried just wrapping label maker tape around the cord in the past, but invariably after several months the label is turned around or has loosened and has gone down the cord somewhere.

I thought I'd show what the ziptie labels look like in my cabinet. Since they are zip tied, they stay put, and since they stick out from the cord a bit, you can easily see things at a glance without having to get your hand back to each cord label to see what the label says.
