Price aside, would you buy this fish?

Just came across this if you happen to be looking for one...
Is this really that rare of a fish that is demands $2,400.00?

Its not even that great looking of a fish and as noted it eats corals lol
 
rare in the hobby, not in the wild. It is a coral eater.
Exactly; an obligate corallivore. The whole Labropsis genus is.

So unless you are willing and prepared to feed it corals the rest of it's life, it doesn't belong in your tank.
 
It is funny how pricing works when a fish is rare....some of the most colorful fish are damsels but they are so cheap because they are plentiful. Yet like Cleo stated, people will pay 800+ for an all black fish lol.
 
I was assuming we were just voting based on looks. I think it looks bad butt, like a Marianas Trench kind of fish.
