Okay I have had NPC before, but only gorgonians. I grow my own zooplankton, nannochloropsis. Anyone else keep lace coral? Any advice? How often are you feeding? Are you target or broadcasting?
My new piece is acclimating now.

It's a beautiful piece I love Millepora/aka Fire Coral. You just do not see this coral very often in the hobby. Good read below

I would love to see a follow up on this coral in a few months, good luck.

Thanks a lot! I'll def check it out! I had to special order it through my LFS, although I have seen them a few times at Extremecorals. They are a bit $$$, but I really wanted to try a piece. I have a high flow/high light area in front of my MP40 that should be perfect. Hopefully it does well. I HATE losing animals/plants under my care.

Everything I've read says they're found in shallow pools with a great deal of movement so mine sits high directly in front of my pulsing MP40. Looks pretty and God willing, it'll stay pretty.

Following.. that's a beautiful piece.

Thanks! I REALLY like it, but am in no way unrealistic about the unlikelihood of its survival. Everywhere I've read, this coral is at the top of the list of difficult to keep coral. It's entirely possible it's dead already and I just don't know if yet. Not pessimistic, just realistic.

Definitely not millepora. Milleporas are a different shade of yellow and have white branch tips. Millepora are also photosynthetic, not NPS. This coral is probably Distichopora sp.
