Lace Rock

Hi folks, I have a bunch of lace rock laying around not being used, from my African cichlid days.
I have 90 lb of premium figi rock that is cycled in my 75 gl saltwater setup. it has been running for about 3 months or so. and has a coral beauty fish and a mushroom in it.
I need to add a few more pieces of rock to eventually get to 110-120 lbs. maybe a bit overkill but that's what I am wanting. my nitrates are running around 10-15 consistently and would like to reduce to zero if possible.
could I use this lace rock ?
would it eventually become "Live" ?
would it be harmful in any way?
would this cause a major spike in the sytem?
obviously I don't think it would be a great idea to add 20-30 lbs but maybe if I added 5 lbs at a time over a period of a few months.
does any of this make sense or should I not bother.....

what is lace rock? what is it made of? could there be concerns of it leeching something into your system like meds of any sort from past use?

haha, maybe I just should have googled first, in an attempt to give you a better description of what lace rock is (its created from lava) I came across this link which kind of explains and answers my questions as well.
