I noticed that BRS set the rocks up with a substantial space between the back of the rocks and the aquarium. Considering the fact that flow is the key what is the thoughts of placement and structure, Going to be doing this in a few days . So time is important. Thank you in advance. #reefsupport

It’s important to avoid dead zones in the flow, and leaving space let’s you get behind the rocks if something falls back there. You have to balance that though with leaving enough space in the front for fish to swim, and for stacking rocks with shelf space to place corals. A lot will depend on your amount of rockwork and tank dimensions.

Ok thank you. That is one reason I asked. If there is a space there is some chance rocks will fall off later due to no support. Even if I go up 2/3 thds of the tank that is eighteen inches in height. Any tricks for that ? I do have coralcrete epoxy to use
