There is a very lenthy thread over at the OTHER forum on this subject. Works extremely well. Its best to treat the rocks in a vat; add the LC, measure phosphate after a few days, and continue until you get at or below 0.03ppm. I took part in the thread on the other forum, but LC is hard to get hold of in the UK at good prices, so I bleached and ACID WASHED my rocks (they were dead rock to begin with). My rocks are so clean that I do not even use any form of GFO or carbon dosing. My phosphates typically read below 0.01ppm using a Hanna ULR photometer. LC will produce the same results. Once you get below 0.03ppm, make sure you you REALY blast the crap out of the rocks to get all the LC dust particles.Should take you no longer than a week of dosing LC and then thoroughly cleaning the rocks of the LC dust particles. You can do this in saltwater to keep the rocks live. Regardless of the method, I am so glad I dont need to fight phosphate battles in my new tank. I dont need to spend money on GFO either.LC dust particles can be harmful to fish and can stain aquarium glass.
