PhosBuster PRO killed my Lubbock's Wrasse!! Does anyone have any experience with the LC products, specifically PhosBuster PRO? I read and followed the directions to the letter, confirming both the pH and Alk proir to dosing. With in minutes the poor fish was trying to jump from the tank and lay gasping for air on the sand bed. This was over two weeks ago, the fish has not been seen since.

I lost a yellow tang about two weeks ago as well due to LC. According to the bottle a dose for the tank would be 48 drops, I play it safe and only did 12. I dosed it right before lights out and when I came up to the tank in the morning the tang was laying on the sand gasping and was dead not even an hour later. I blame it on the fact that I did about 6 of the drops directly into the display. I had used it before; dosing into the overflow so it had plenty of contact time before getting to the fish, and never had problems in those cases. But the ONE time I put it in the display I lost a tang. The chances of it being a coincidence especially with all the documentation of LC affecting zebrasoma tangs are very slim. I'm much much more cautions about using this stuff going forward.

When I used it, I put it straight into the DT. I have a 28 gallon Nano, maybe IF I have to use it again, I'll go that route.

This talk at last year's MACNA really made me question the whole idea of trying to fight phosphates. I usually still run GFO, and occasionally use LC, but this video sure makes you wonder...
