So I am dosing lanthum to control phosphates. I have the tube directly down in the skimmer neck. The tube gets caked up like every other day and stops working. Is there a solution other than having to daily clean it out?

I use phosphat-e from brightwell Aquatics and dose on the rare occasions if my phosphates get a little too high and I put it into the filter sock not the skimmer and I’ve never had a issue where I prematurely had to clean out my skimmer .

Sorry I was talking about the the tube and not the skimmer. The dose line keeps caking up.

Is this dosing line under the water? If so, it will precipitate lanthanum carbonate/phosphate.

You need to keep the line above the water.

You mentioned that you have a tube going “ directly down in the skimmer neck “ are you in fact dosing in the skimmer ?? If so try what I originally mentioned .
