Large angel or dwarf angel?

Was thinking of CB, midnight and maybe bicolor in the 125?
"Maybe" is always the answer when thinking about housing two (or more) different centropyge species in a tank between three to six feet. There are certainly people who have done this, but be prepared to have another suitable home (in your home) for the fish if they begin to fight over territory.

If you are going with a Large Angel, I’d get an Emporia Angel. Easier to care for and will hold its own, once to size against the Eel. Neither the Regal or Emporia are Reef Safe and will make a meal out of inverts, if the Eel doesn’t get them first.

Every Pomacanthus and Holocanthus type angel I've ever had was a coral eater. Same with the Centropyge type dwarf angels. Beautiful fish, but I won't be keeping them in a reef again.

The Genicanthus family are wonderful reef fishes. Beautiful, in their own quiet way, very little chance they'll ever bother your corals, and not particularly aggressive. I've got two in my 140g reef. A male Lamark's angel, and a female Spotbreast. I'd call them adolescents, about half grown, a bit more than 4 inches long at this point. Happy as I can be with them.

IMO and IME, how reef safe the angels are depending on the species mostly, and how much you feed them. C. nox is a horrible coral picker IME. C. loricula and C. acanthops I keep them in 40 gal breeder, 65 gal, 320 gal, and 420 gal tanks. All these angels did great in my tanks. I do feed a lot, like 8 times a day plus frozen in the evening when I get home early enough, and on weekend, in addition to nori and occasional frozen clams and oyster on the half shells.

I have Flame Harem and one Bicolor in the same tank. They did fine together in my 320 gal tank.
Ah gotcha. What do you think about them in a 125?
