Large Colony Question

most vendors will sell colonies if you have the bank. but think about what some of these zoas would cost when you buy 75+ of them. that's why they sell mostly frags, more money for them plus more people can afford to buy them.

have you tried local forums? ive bought large colonies in the past from local clubs and local hobbyists for 50-100 bucks and they were very colorful. plus less stress from shipping and temp swings.

I here ya! That makes sense, but I figured that there are some people who would/could afford it so you would see them offered a but more often. I am new, and I figure meh, what's another few hundred when I already have thousands invested. Hehe

I have not! I only have 6 corals total so far, and they have all been bought from my LFS. I am worried I would figure out a way to kill them if I bought somehting on line and had it shipped to me. I pay my LFS to service my tank do I can blame them if something goes wrong! Lol

its difficult for me to justify paying someone to service my tank. its so easy to maintain these tanks and know theyre being done right. I cant even trust my lfs to make proper saltwater lol
