Large eel with coral

At the point where I want to start adding coral. Problem is I have a 30” zebra eel and I’m worried he would damage them. Any thoughts suggestions,comments experience?

The eel will not eat or intentionally damage the coral but he may rub against them. Most coral will not be bothered by this but some very fleshy LPS might get damaged. I would just be intelligent about your coral decisions. SPS and Softies should be fine while something like a bubble coral could get damaged.

I have a zebra of comparable size with SPS large and small and have never seen any issues. The zebra never appears, except to be fed at night, so mostly a pointless fish ..... but that wasn’t your question LOL.
