Large fuge impact on sps colors

Just curious if anyone else uses major amounts of chaeto/ macro algae and mangroves on their SPS system and if there is any impact on colors hypothetically due to trace metals being sucked up by the fuge. I have for the first time in many years a hard time getting greens (sps) especially to be vibrant and metallic. I am wondering if my mangroves/chaeto might be using my water change ions like Iron before the corals can absorb some.

I use a chaeto for my mixed reef but also dose with Red Sea A, B, C & D. As much as I hate it, I test for iron, potassium, etc... it seems to work well. Colors are nice.

Try the salifert K test. Much easier.

* speaking of the potassium test earlier I realized it's been a while since I checked. I check the Alk and Ca every other day, but K I often forget about. It had been steady at 410 and tested tonight at 350ppm. So I will adjust and maintain. If in the next few weeks some colors become more vibrant I'll post back here.
