Update: I've now had 2 people back out within an hour of pickup which is very frustrating given the time, effort and stress on the fish to get it safely out of the tank. I will now offer the fish for free to a good home for someone that can stick to a plan and show up when they say they will.

Also need to re-home my Conchs now that the sand level is getting lower. I have 2 large Florida fighting conchs (~4") and 1 small conch all from reef cleaners.

No new members / posters. Must be an active and participating member of R2R to take him.

Originally purchased from divers den about 4 months ago. The fish is very health (along with it's tank mates which you are welcome to inspect at pickup) and eating well. He is about 4" long. I really love this fish but going sand less to fight dinos so need to find him a new home.

Just out of curiosity, how do you plan on catching him? I have a big one as well that may need to be deported as he doesn’t play well with others.

I've had good luck with the following method for most fish.

Leave the net in the tank for 20 minute or so prior to your attempt to get the fish used to it. Then feed toward the surface and bring the net up from under the fish while they are feeding. It can also help to put some food in the net. I've had some particularly aggressive feeders willing to swim right into the net to get food.

Have you thought about having a small container of sand in there for him? They don't need too much sand...plus you can always toss it after a few weeks or a week if it's hosting dinos.

Yeah but he also eats my amphipods which I'd like to get populations increased to help take out the dinos.

He poopoo'd the idea because of pod population. I do believe some species eat Dino's so I don't blame! They snac n attac pods all day, but don't rely on them heavily like a Mandarin would.

Yeah, he doesn't go after copepods so much as amphipods. He pretty much wiped out my amphipod population. And I do have a mandarin as well so together they're really not helping the cause with my Dino fight ​
