Apparently I have a hitchhiker a large Olive Snail about 2 and half inches long. I recently bought two Coris Wrasses and one is missing. I think it is quite possible the Olive Snail had a 20$ snack...

If you think that's the case I would remove it but also be on the lookout for the second corgis wrasse because it may just be hiding as it gets used to the tank.

Yea, he’s been gone for 3 days I know they can hide for sometime but the two were out swimming the next day after I bought them.

A quick search on the internet states the olive snail is a mollusk predator. I doubt he actively hunted down a Coris wrasse. The more likely scenario is the other wrasse is hiding in the sand bed due to conflict with the first wrasse.

When I got my melanurus wrasse she would stay hidden in the sand for all but maybe 30 minutes a day and would immediately bury herself if anything got near her. I though she was dead because I didn't see her for 4 or 5 days but then one day she came shooting out for food when I get the other fish.

I hope you’re right I added them at the same time.

I don't know the size of your tank, but adding conspecifics to a tank is a bit of a gamble. They might look docile in the LFS tank due to tank size, existence of more dominant fish, or just getting acclimated to captivity. Once you introduce them into your tank, that can all change. This is why I don't add two or more wrasses of the same or similar species to my tank.

I'd think 2 yellows would be ok in that size tank, but they may need to learn territorial boundaries. As others have said, give it some time. Just don't tear apart the tank trying to find the missing fish. That will add more stress and possibly cause the wrasse's death.
