Any ideas? Predatory?

This looks like a murex species, possibly Chicoreus Brevifons. They feed specifically on species of bivalves like oyster and clams, but I wouldn’t put it past them to go for coral or snails. I would personally sump him or put him in a refugium. Super cool snail though! Definitely worth keeping and just separate it in my opinion.

Yeah, it's definitely a Murex snail (taxonomic family Muricidae), and almost certainly predatory. Like vaguelyreeflike mentioned above, I'd expect them to go after bivalves and possibly snails.

I'm not sure on the exact species, but the closest I know are from the genera Chicoreus and Naquetia (taxonomic subfamily Muricinae).

Any chance he’d duke it out with my equally interesting sump crab?
It depends on the species of both, but there’s a chance the crab would try to eat the snail (the chances of the snail trying to eat the crab are much lower).

Could always put him in a refugium or even get an acclimation box for him to live in. If your snails start overpopulating toss the babies in there for him.
He’ll probably enjoy a diet of leftover meaty foods such as silverside scraps, dead snails (not that anyone wants to move those around though), frozen bivalves etc. I would also try meaty pellets or freeze dried foods as a cheaper option if you dont regularly feed the other things

Thank you!! Great suggestions!
Since he seems intertidal I don’t know if I could keep him contained in an acclimation box. But I have him in a different section of the sump as the crab for now
