Large Striped Leg Hermit Crab Question

So I have a big Striped Leg Hermit. His shell is about 5 inches. I recently purchased a Tomato Clown and would love to get an anemone for it, however I'm terrified this monster of a crab may rip it to shreds. Anyone have any experience with these type of hermits? I did some research online and it said they actually carry Sea Anemones around on their shells in the wild, so I was wondering if maybe it would be okay?

They are not reef safe so I would not chance it.
