large tanks from glasscages com?

If you are looking for alternatives there are quite a few out there... this is a relatively brief list of them...

Planet Aquariums
Custom Aquariums
Miracles Aquariums

just to name a few, yes they will cost more than likely considerably more which I'm sure you're aware.

great thread, thank you

Any time! As I said there are tons of options out there builder wise so shop around first :)
yeah i figured id start with the opinions of the people on reef2reef to steer me in a good direction.

I have a 48" x 36" x 30" deep Glass Cages tank that's +/- 15 years old. Euro bracing top and bottom, no center brace (love that), never an issue. I've seen neater silicone work, but not really that bad.

Here's a 327 gal I bought from Miracles (excellent customer service) and a 90 gal from Coast to Coast (VERY nice quality). Both are going to run you quite a bit more than Glass Cages, but you can see the difference. Tank Me and Reef Savvy are top line, but come with top line pricing too.

Both look nice. Could you take a picture of the back? I'm interested to see how they cut out the overflow from tank to external supper box.

You looking for pics of the Miracles overflow?

It's a notch cut with a water jet and an acrylic plate siliconed over the face

Thanks, that's exactly what I was curious about. Wondered whether it was a cut out or just a series of holes. I'm such a geek for this kind of thing LOL.

Lol any time, I'm an open book for any questions about it. FWIW Miracles is also the only other company you can order the original Ghost overflow from Reef Savvy with. :)
