So I have a mixed reef with nitrates at 25. My sps is looking sickly so I wanted to do a 50ish percent water change with water that I have adjusted to temp., salinity, and PH to the same as my tank. Only problem is the new water has an alk of 13 and my tank is at 9. What do I do. My alk will swing to 11ish. There isn’t anyway to lower alk in new saltwater is there? Am I going to cause more harm than help?

You could add muriatic acid to the new saltwater to lower the alkalinity. I think it's something like 1ml of acid reduces one gallon of saltwater by 1 dKh. I would start with half of that or even less though to make sure you don't over do it.
