Can I do large water changes with this salt? Or will I have a bacterials bloom like when using Tropic Marin Bio Actif because of the pro bionics and it's focus on carbon dosing?

Thanks,

Adam

I did several large water changes to fix a doser issue, not fully understanding that I couldn't. My reef suffered even more with the excess growth of algae (I think bc of the nutrients with the extra aminos in the mix). So now I keep both the probiotic and reef salt on hand at all times, just in case I have to do large water changes I can use the reef salt.

Adam, Aquaforest recommends 10% water changes. Probiotic Reef Salt in large amounts could lead to problems like a bacteria bloom, or possibly will bottom out your nutrients and freak your corals out. Stay on a slow and steady path, and the results will most certainly come :)

I'm going to be doing a prazi treatment for flukes. I ordered regular reef salt for that. I'll go back to the weekly WC after that using the probiotic.
