According to Neptune, the apex can support up to 240 modules.
I have 3, and the most I’ve seen was 6. Anyone have more then 10? 20? 100?
Just wondering!
Pictures?

It's easy to accumulate more modules, depending on what you want to do.

Here's my modules list, for a single 120g system, and I don't consider my Apex setup to be all that large or complex compared to some.

Isn't it limited to something like 150 'outputs' though? Perhaps I recall that incorrectly (I have 113). I have 25 Neptune devices attached to the controller - one DoS, two WAV and the rest various modules. I count WXM as one, even though it controls eight vortech pumps. Mostly on my one system, though I do have an EB8 for my QT system.

I don't recall either. I think my chances of running into any of the limits is almost nil, although it might be different if I were trying to control multiple tanks with one Apex.

I have the 2016 so mine is much more condensed because I dont run a Pm1/2/3
I am adding an ALD and a WXM and a FMM and another EB832 for Christmas! There is nothing more exciting then setting up new apex gear!

Even with the 2016 version, there may be reasons to still run PM1 or PM2 - like monitoring pH in a CaRx or measuring temperature in multiple places. ALD is discontinued; replaced by FMM.

Im guessing actual public aquariums or research facilities with loads of tanks or systems may push the higher counts. Maybe some larger LFS but Id guess for the average Joe 10-20 is probably about the max.

Would be interested to hear of some though. Maybe @Terence can enligten us on some bigger setups he’s seen?

I’m getting the ALD used with 4 pads for $75. It is worth the price if not just for the probes.

Just be aware that the ALD probes don't connect to the FFM without replacing the terminations.

So do I; those are additional modules for a second set of probes. ;)

The 240 limit is for Outputs. The limit on Modules is actually 29. There is a typo in Neptune’s documentation, and this was acknowledged on Neptune’s support forum.

Ah. Ok

Would someone please tell me where to go to learn how to calibrate the salt probe on a new system.
Keep getting a communication error.
Help Please.
