I visit my old workplace today - here is how it looks like nowadays. You can play it in 4K

Lasse, it's shameful nobody told them that you can't keep more than one Chromis together like that. They will just harass each other until there is only one left. ;-)

Ha ha - and do not mention the sharks:)

I have done some preliminary calculations (between the index finger and the thumb) on my measurements. Since first of July - NO3 concentration has decrease with 14.3 mg/L - the PO4 concentrations seems to have decrease with around 0.16 mg/L during the same time. In molar ratio - its around 140:1 This means that growth can probably stand for between 7 to 15 % of the NO3 decrease. It means that up to 85% of the NO3 decrease must been caused by other mechanisms than growth.

But there are so many variables concerning PO4 to make such a general conclusions and calculations - you are running GFO, there is definitely some phosphate poll in the sand and rocks., etc. But it is very interesting experiment I would say.

Yes I´m aware of this but the experiment is over time and the only known change (compared with first of July) is the DOC dose. Its also this way that I do not trust my Hanna Checker 100% (not even 50% :)) but its a serie that will continue. I have also used unfiltered samples. It can happens that redo the test run later on and see if PO4 will rise back to around 0.36 mg/L again. But there is a lot of different parameters included but I get a rather low percentage - even if I had got 50/50 - it still indicate other factors involved than growth

Yesterday - I introduce my new Sailfins into the display tank. one of them slipped out a few days ago and is hiding far back in the aquarium. I can see it - but impossible to photograph. The other I lifted down with seashells and everything - could choose the location - here is some photos and a video
