So I'm in my cycle at the moment. No lights and only my aquascape to look at. I'm not sure if I'm satisfied. Here is what I have. I'm going for a mixed reef with Zoas, lps, and eventually sps. It's a 22 long. I will be using 2 AI Prime 16HD's. Any thoughts on my rock arrangement?

I have extra Life Rock. Should I add more?

It is largely personal preference so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I would try yo safely stack some creating gaps between rocks, shaded areas, etc. I would also leave an open area in the center or off center(ir more of islands than short wall)

You can always add more later. Adding more won't affect the biology at all, removal probably will.
I'm just thinking that if I add more I should do it now. Just on the fence if I like the look.

Good start, I like the addition. I have 2 suggestions for you...
  1. Look at your aquascape and envision it with your corals nearly filling the space. What might you add or subtract now that you wouldn’t be able to later.
  2. Same thing for your fish and inverts. You have plenty of space for them to swim now, what about later with corals. What about now when corals are frags, enough places for them to hide?
Looks great though, looking forward to pictures as it progresses.

Aquascape is all about the animals you have and their needs. Plus a bit of personal preference. If you have areas you can see with corals and plenty of spots for your other inverts and fish, you should be good. Can always adjust with a nice open top and small footprint.

What mdb_talon said. I like that a lot more and it has more potential for coral growth and fish/invert well being.
