So I’m really struggling to pick out my last fish for my tank. It’s a struggle because I’m pretty sure it will be my last fish unless something dies. My tank is Getting full.

I have a 50 gallon tank and the current fish are

1 mandarin
1 ruby red
1 Helfrichi
1 swalesi basslet
1 Royal gramma
1 yellow head jawfish
2 yasha gobies

I’m looking for something that like to swim in the open and around rocks. I do have some corals so something reef safe would be nice.

so far on my list is a flame Angel or McCosker wrasse.
Any other recommendations??

thanks for your help. Everyone on this forum is so knowledgeable.

A cherub pygmy angel or african flameback would be neat. All dwarf angels have a slight chance to nip at corals. I've been switching to captive bred only so you could also look at those fish and see if something pops out.

Any angel is a possible risk. I have yet to get an angel that didn't nip at my corals. Some will swear that theirs never do anything wrong. Angels are a YMMV fish.

A midas blenny or yellow (corris) wrasse would be good additions. Both are active and good community fish.
