I hate this new camera, I really do. Here are last nights attempts to capture my tank.

Thoughts?

I guess I'm just being hard on myself, and getting used to this camera. I hate it.. I've asked for help from people who look and act like they know what they are doing, but they always ignore me. blah.

what camera do you use? some of these cameras have so many options its not funny..
the manipulate with shutter speed and exposure etc.

Its good man ... the 1st chalice needs to be replugged :)

How close to the actual colors are they? The whites seem really bright, but it's a great start with a new camera.

--Tripod
--Timer or remote release
--Custom white balance
--Underexpose by one stop
--Lens face parallel with glass
--Glass clean on both sides
--Fill frame as much as you can with subject
--Don't get closer than your lens' minimum focusing distance.

Have to disagree with Karlm slightly. You need to get the exposure right in the camera so you don't have to rely on editing software to save the image. Editing software should be for relatively minor adjustments.

Looks good except for the red bugs on the one acro. I am magnifying the RB now so you can see them.

Those look like Rev Bugs.

Gary - Thanks for the tips, will get to work on it next shoot.
