I'm on a budget of 400$ or less for a reef capable light. I need to stay under it as much as possible, but I need a great light for hard n soft corals. Must have night mode my kids watch the tank and calm down for night time. Any and all advice is welcome. Or if you can point me in the right direction would be great also, like links, or good reading. Thank you R2R

Two of these would be perfect for that tank. You can grow pretty much any coral you put under it. It's programmable, rampable, and has a moonlight feature for the kids

Personally I would go with a Photon V2 before I went with any of the BB options including the SB Reef.
If you can swing the extra $100 for the 36" fixture you will get far better control, mostly to separate the colors you want from what you want to limit.
