So who besides me sits there and stares at there tank at night after the lights go out. I like to take a flashlight and go threw my tank and look for little critters that id never see during the day. Besides that some of my corals look really cool in the dark.

I wish I could do more of this, but my parrots are only 20 feet away and they get scared by me making noises over by the tank or if the flashlight reflects and they see it (even though their cages are covered with sheets). I do pretty much every night check on the skimmer and look for nocturnal critters before heading to bed.

way to late lol long story short i came to feed my chalice notices something totally different. :tsk: their tentacles became 3x longer than before:faint2:

I like looking at my tank at night. I think it is neat to see the changes in the corals and how some corals have their feeding tentacles out. I have also been able to spot some unwanted hitchhikers.

I am guilty of this lol It makes me feel like a dork tho  I like checking out my pod population in my sump 2

No joke! I had no idea Pink ******* had such long sweepers. I have to move the acro next to it soon now.

LOL I do it too. At least 3 times a night I go to my tank either with or without a flash lite to see whats going on. My snails are real active at night and I do see some Bristals but I leave them alone. I'll worry more when they get too big.

Ya i'm a very late night reefer, i see my tank more with lights off than on for sure. That is definitely when my tank is most active:

Pretty cool. I don't get to see much of that in my new tank. I started with dry rock and the new tank is only 4 months old. With All frags getting dipped and checked thoroughly too, I don't have much life to watch at night.

I usually take a flashlight to my tank 2 - 3 nights a week and check out what is going on...I have some fat brstle worms that amaze me, my snails and crabs are all over the place and some of the corals look really cool as well. Also it is a good way to keep track of pods. My kids and girlfriend think I am nuts and a reef dork.
