It took me a while to get started...started a small online business and all my time and money has been invested in the frag tanks. I recently decided it's time that I need a nice big healthy display tank to help inspire the local clientele and of course have some eye candy for myself considering how hard I'm working on making sure one folks have healthy specimens in their tanks.
Anyway. Here she be.
100g Starfire(x3 sides) from Miracles Aquarium
Starboard bottom
Custom stand with DJ switch
Custom acrylic Sump (planning to upgrade to something sexier)
BM Curve 7
Eheim return pump(swapping to something quieter)
Gyre 250
MP40(probably ditch it, noisy)
JBJ ATO(beta testing the Neptune ATK on the frag tanks and will likely get another for this tank-things awesome!)
Giesemann Matrixx II (54x8)
Currently pictured with a two bulb fixture, no sense in running my new bulbs over the tank while cycling, but I've always felt some light is good for a cycle. Let that algae bloom!
I've got some Marco rock cut in half for flat sides as the base, helps when stacking. The rest is shelf rock. All has been in my 100g rubbermade for 1+ years as it was the sump for my previous 300DD-nice and fully cured. I never recommend starting with all live rock unless you know exactly where it came from...
Got her wet on 3/26 and noticed some cyano on the shelves today. I'll start testing the Params on 4/22 or so when I return from a work trip.
That's about it for now. Stay tuned.
