i think these threads are usually started when you first set your tank up but why not start one now, too preface this i do not recommend setting your tank up this way and it is far from perfect this is a combination of what works for me and pure laziness /being broke XD
Tank: 45 gallon display/ 15 gallon sump
lighting : One Redsea Reef 50 LED/ the sump One coralife reef LED (growing caulerpa)
equipment: Coralife Turbo-twist UV sterilizer up to 125gallons and a cheap heater from amazon (i dont run a skimmer im not opposed just on a budget)
parameters: 74-76 F degree fluctuation, salinity 1.025, the rest is a mystery
stock: a pair of ocellaris clownfish, blue hippo tang, zebra pipefish, melanarus wrasse, domino damsel, snowflake moray
The tank is very easy to maintain most of my corals are softies or LPS the tank gets a water change about once every two months with 10-15gallons being removed occasionally i will throw a small bag of carbon into the tank to keep the water clarity I don’t quarantine my fish either I originally bought the UV with hopes that it would help but it seems to just keep algae away I do have minor issues with ich only on dory when i forget to feed the tank i swear by rods frozen food i personally like the herbivore blend about once a week i will feed them frozen and everyday a pinch of omega one marine pellets
This is my tank feel free to enlighten me on anything wrong I’m always open to suggestions
