Alright, getting tired of fighting nutrients in my 29 gallon tank. Would like to add a sump with refugium (maybe even start using the ridiculously oversized skimmer that I bought for a 150g upgrade). I have a 10 gallon tank that I'm not using, or could even pick up a 20 gallon for cheap which would probably fit.
The thing is, the easiest way for me to do this would be to have them on the same elevation - I have a divider that I could drill through (already have for my apex wiring) in an existing built in cabinet/shelving unit that I'm using at the moment.
It seems that most HOB overflows are designed to gravity feed to a sump below the tank.
TL;DR What do I need to make a sump happen ~2 feet to the right of my display on the same elevation?
