Defiantly following this one!!!
I've always wanted to breed clowns :)

Next batch of eggs. My saddle wrasse has already eaten most of the eggs before I could take them out.

My saddle wrasse also ate most of the eggs prior to the spawn at the beginning of this thread. I have only 1 baby from that hatch.

It is important to keep the water tinted with phytoplankton. When the fry are small, they dive to the bottom or stick to the sides when the water starts to clear. Once they have gone through metamorphosis it isn't important anymore.

Fts shots don't really show much of what the fry look like. Its actually difficult to get a good picture of the fry with my phone.

Morning shot before I add more phytoplankton. Although the water isn't totally clear, it is to bright for the fry. Many stick to the glass & really don't eat. I add more phytoplankton & they start to swim & feed. I hatch artemia daily as they grow fast & the fry eat only the smallest. Artemia have a lot of nutritional value only when they have their yolk from hatching.

Which species of phytoplankton are you feeding to your rotifers? Glad to hear that the TDO is working for your animals. Can you show us your Tigriopus cultures and what you are feeding them? I culture live feeds for Reed Mariculture and I'm always interested to see how other people are growing their zooplankton.

I culture rotifers in 5 gallon buckets. I feed them the frozen nannochloropsis from Reed Mariculture. I use live nannochloropsis to feed them in the fry tanks. I culture tiger pods in a 5 gallon bucket about half full. I dont use an air pump for them. I feed the tigerpods live phytoplankton (isochrysis galbana T strain & chaetoceros gracilis).
