I've been out of the hobby for a few years now after taking down my 300dd/500 gal system in 2013. I had a previous build thread on that other site.

I got the itch to get back into the hobby and finally decided to pull the trigger again. I currently don't have a spot for a fish room so I wanted a tank that would give me space to have fun but not too big to maintain without a fish room. After seeing a few of the red sea reefers I decided to go with the 750xxl in white.

Tank got delivered on Monday and more items are on the way!

Welcome back!

*Edit: I see you are in Melbourne, may I suggest checking out Psychodelic Relics on Eau Gallie Blvd, just West of US1. They are a small aquaculture that literally just got a store front they are in the process of renovating. Cool guys, fair prices, and awesome corals! They have rock and some fish as well. Tell 'em Bruce sent'chya!

Thanks for the heads up. I live in Vero Beach now but would gladly take the trip up that way when i'm up and running.

Based on the tank and the car this is going to be an awesome build, I can tell. Along for the ride.

haha. thanks. and good eye ;)

Still waiting on the mounting arms for the mitras. i want to have them installed before placing the tank on the stand. in the mean time i've assembled the stand...

GHL Flex arms for the Mitras have finally arrived. assembled and mounted last night. Very impressed with the quality of the GHL stuff. now i've just gotta hide the wires and get the tank on the stand and the plumbing can begin!

That’s some nice looking rock. Do you know what it’s called?

went to the Bahamas for a week and came back to a pile of goodies at the front door. just need to get the plumbing finished and i'll be ready for water.

after taking a closer look at the plumbing i decided that the gravity fed tank that came with the redsea reefer wasn't going to work for me. after much thought i decided to go with a tunze osmolator and pick up a lower profile ATO reservoir that i could fit in the stand and still have room. i found a great option and think it'll work great. Also, I have another 6105 coming but i guess it was out of stock.

It's a mix of different types. Fiji, etc. I kept the best 100lbs or so from my last few tanks and had the rock sitting in my garage dry for the past 5 years or so. Lol

I have a feeling this will be an amazing tank, following and hoping for loads of pictures

With that mitras just missing now the profilux 4 and you could have taken the level sensor ATO from GHL ;)
