I bought a bunch of used rock, bleached and dried it, then created and aquascape with stonefix cement and acrylic rods. I realized after putting it all together and cycling it for 5 weeks that there's a small piece of man made lava rock in there.

My questions are:

1) Will the rock continue to leach contaminates into my system if it was previously in a saltwater tank for almost 2 years?

2) Are all the other rocks in the curing bin now contaminated? If so, what do I do?

Years ago I used a big chunk of lava rock in my 50 gallon tank. I had no problems. But if your worried about it take it out.

back in 1985 I ran a tank (FO) for 5yrs with 5-7 large lava rocks, dead coral (yeah we did that back then), and crushed coral substrate (with UG filter). It worked...
