hey , anyone have tips on how to get lawn mower blenny to eat algae sheets ? I want to make sure it’s getting food

I have had issues with starry blennies eating, but never lawnmower. Mine always get really fat and eat anything. Do you have a nice mature system for it to graze all day? If not, try putting the algae sheets wrapped around rocks with rubber bands. This may help him graze.

Yes my system has been running for 6 months and I got him last week . I will try the rubber band and see if he eats that
Honestly 6 months is not long for algae to build up, but hopefully he takes to other foods too. Good luck! I love these guys. Such funny characters.

When I first got my blenny he wasn’t eating and started getting thin.
Someone recommended I try hikari seaweed extreme sinking pellets. Now my blenny looks happy and got his weight back and comes out like a dog greeting me during feeding time.
Maybe worth a shot while your trying different foods.
