Hello I recently purchased a lawnmower Blenny and have had him in the tank for 3 days. Today I noticed my sand sifting star and coral banded shrimp are missing 2 legs on the star and a arm on the shrimp. Do u guys think the Blenny is doing it

Had a Lawnmover Blenny and had no issues. The arm on the CB will grow back in a few days. How long do you have your Sand SS?

The sand sifting star could be dying. They eat the fauna out of your sandbed rather quickly and can starve to death when it depletes your sand of food. It's a good idea to switch him out between two or three tanks periodically. I know a few people that trade off one sand sifting star between them.

I've never seen a lawnmower blenny bother a starfish of any kind or a shrimp. I HAVE seen them attack each other and sometimes defend territory to another fish- though that's been a rare occurrence for me.

Yea that's what I figured also. I was just curious because all of this begun right after I added the Blenny so I was unsure
