Lawnmower blenny finicky eater

I can’t get this lawnmower to eat anything but the algae that’s in the QT. I’ve tried nori on a clip next to his favorite eating spot, brine, mysis, herbivore pellets and omnivore pellets. He’s really stubborn.. any suggestions?

Try flakes. Yes, yes, I know that suggestion will induce a pearl-clutching moment in many, but I've never seen my own lawnmower blenny (also in quarantine) move faster than when I sprinkle some in the tank. I'd rather have it eat something than nothing.

It also does vacuum up the mysis, though.

My algae blenny was always picky and started getting skinny so I tried a bunch of different things (nori, pellets, algae wafers) and finally found a food he will eat and get excited for. Its Sera Marine Veggie Flakes. I got them at Petco. He's been fattening up ever since.

My lawnmower has been in my tank about a year. He has never eaten anything but algae. He continues to grow.

Mine is a fat little porker, never touches any fish food but is a nonstop algae eating machine, look at the gut lol
