Hello, I have a coral beauty angel and a Lawnmower blenny in a 30G QT. The LMB has been in the tank for about a week and I have not seen him eat anything. I fed nori, seaweed pellets, frozen algae/spirulina, flakes and even tried some romaine lettuce. He never budges to even sniff it. The angel was added a few days later and seems to be adjusting and eating well.

Note: I have a small piece (2"x 2") of LR in the QT and he clings on it. Will this small piece of LR interfere with the copper power?

My plan was to start dosing copper power a week after I put them in the tank but now I am concerned that it will suppress the LMBs appetite even more. Should I wait till he starts eating, start dosing in a few days or move him to another tank while I dose the angelfish? Will a LMB starve itself to death? Any suggestions are appreciated...especially ones to get him, to eat.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Lawnmower Blennys can be very challenging in a QT. Suggest you try making a fish "smoothie" out of frozen cubes: take one of each, seaweed, cyclops, fish eggs, mysis, coral mix (these usually have sponges that Blennies find yummy), etc. Place into a small tupperware/glass dish. Let "slump" in the fridge. Mix together until blended. Strain off excess water. Add a few drops of Selcon or Zoecon. This supper food mix is very healthy for all fish. My blennies eat it up. Best of luck. Good on you for treating your fish buddies with such concern. ;)

Something that may work for you is getting algae from you refugium and placing it in QT with him. If you have GHA and other macros, you could always rubber band it to rock and let him find it. I have had success with this on herbivores that are not taking prepared foods.
