Lawnmower blenny = messy eater. GHA regrow?

So I got a lawnmower blenny to help with some GHA.

It's doing great job, but it is quite messy.

I noticed tufts of GHA floating around. If those tufts land on a surface, will it regrow?

Yes but you can be sure that you have enough spores in your water that whatever you actually see is immaterial.
 
If gha is present, it will grow wherever, floating tufts wont change anything but if they stay in the tank, they will break down and add nitrates back into the system. Best to manually remove as much gha as you can from the tank, floating or not.
